The Biofuels for Sustainable Development of Southern Europe
is organized as part of the BIOFUELS-2G demonstration project funded by
the European Union and the LIFE+ Programme. It will take place on November 19-20 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The thematic areas targeted include: advances in 1st
generation biofuels, thermochemical conversion, enzymatic conversion,
advances in solid biofuels, bio-based feedstock characterization, the future of
biofuels in automotive sector, aviation biofuels, marine biofuels, algae
biofuels, environmental assessment of biofuels, sustainability assessment,
biorefinery platforms, new demo- and large-scale applications and economic
impact of biofuels.
Dr Walter Mirabella is one of the
renowned speakers from the field of
biofuels confirmed so far.
